The new Suicide Squad brings many new characters to the big screen. Deadshot may not be in it anymore, but numerous others make this version a better film. There are enough characters to make this a top 10. However, it won’t be easy to make.

This movie is beloved by many DC fans and is considered one of the best DCEU movies at the moment. I’m very thankful that James Gunn took this directing job as this was magnificent. He brought all these unknown DC characters to life and made them exciting. So my question to you is: who is your favorite character?

10. Milton

Do you guys remember Peter from Deadpool 2? Well, Milton reminds me very hard of Peter! Simply because he is an ordinary guy who wanted to join crime-fighting while having absolutely no special talents.

Milton was a member of the Maltese Resistance who acted as an ally of Task Force X in their mission to destroy Jotunheim and Project Starfish. He was a nice guy with good intentions. Unfortunately, that is not enough to save the day and he had better stay home.

9. Starro the Conqueror

Starro the Conqueror, or Starro for short, was a giant alien creature resembling a starfish. After Task Force X tried to destroy it, it went on a rampage through the city, using its size and mind-controlling spores to wreak havoc.

Starro was harmless before his discovery and loved stargazing in space. Unfortunately, he was found and taken by American astronauts. Afterward, he was imprisoned for 30 years in Corto Maltese, and on top of that, he was tortured both physically and mentally. Somehow you can understand his frustration as he began to destroy the city.

Starro’s greatest strength is that he can asexually spawn thousands of mini-copies from his body. The mini versions cling to the faces of their victims. Think of it like Alien. In the process, they take control of their brains and bodies. That’s not all, because the more he controls, the bigger he gets.

8. Amanda Waller

Viola Davis is perfectly cast as Amanda Blake Waller, who is the big boss of The Suicide Squad. She has ties to various spy and law enforcement agencies, making her a powerful character. Waller seeks the most suitable candidates for her Task Force X to carry out the most dangerous missions. Her team consists mostly of criminals who are in prison. As compensation, they get ten years off of their sentences per mission.

What makes her scary is that she’s a very cold person. She can blow up anyone’s head off if they would desert the mission. So you’re forced to do what she tells you to do. Amanda Waller does not have any boundaries in that regard as she can use someone’s own daughter as leverage. She would do anything for the sake of the mission.

7. Polka-dot Man

Abner Krill, also known as the Polka Dot Man, was a metahuman criminal who, through an inter-dimensional virus, can grow multi-colored polka-dots from his body, turning them into weapons. Krill played an important role in the mission and during the confrontation with Starro. Frankly, I didn’t think he was going to survive until halfway through the film.

James Gunn has a way of making absurd characters so lovable and fun. Who would have thought that a guy who throws polka dots would be so awesome!

6. Rick Flag

Rick Flag was recruited by Amanda Waller to lead her black-ops team Task Force X. He is also one of the only ones to play in the two films. On top of that, he is not a criminal like the rest, but a trained leader with a heart of gold.

What is so appealing about him is that he has compassion for his team members and does the right thing in terms of justice. He’s not afraid of some action and is willing to team up with some serious psycho’s to get to his goal.

5. King Shark

This one is going to be a favorite for many fans. King Shark reminds me of Groot, but he’s not as kind and smart as the Guardian of the Galaxy. His real name is Nanaue and he is a metahuman criminal believed to be descended from an ancient shark god. Despite looking sweet, he could eat you in seconds. Even as an ally, I would be frightened by it. I certainly wouldn’t be able to shut an eye.

What’s more insane is that he’s voiced by Sylvester Stalone! That casting choice blew my mind as I never imagined him voicing a shark and it’s flawless.

4. Harley Quinn

The crazy Harley Quinn will forever be a fan’s favorite! She’s very skilled and a beautifully deranged woman who has some unexpecting moves. You never know what to expect from her as she keeps surprising me. As most of you know, Doctor Harleen Frances Quinzel was a former psychiatrist, formerly working in Arkham Asylum. In addition, she is also a former criminal, a mercenary, and the ex-girlfriend of the Joker.

I always feel myself rooting for her and sometimes I tend to forget how dangerous she can actually be. In the last Suicide Squad, she proves again how insane she can become. It’s like a reminder to us not to take her lightly.

3. Peacemaker

The more I see of John Cena, the more I love the guy, and his interpretation of the Peacemaker is incredible. He embraces it with so much love that he even wears the suit at real events. He might be terrifying to look at with all his muscles, but deep down, he’s just a great guy. Peacemaker, on the other hand, is another story.

Christopher Smith, also known as the Peacemaker, is a violent extremist who believes in achieving peace at any cost. In other words, it doesn’t matter how many people he has to kill to do so regardless of their age or gender. Why? Because he has to in order to achieve peace. You can’t get to peace without killing some people.

Peacemaker has achieved the best physical condition in his mission for world peace. In the process, he is also a world-class marksman. He knows how to shoot with different weapons in the coolest ways.

2. Ratcatcher 2

Never did I expect that Ratcatcher 2 was going to be the heart and soul of The Suicide Squad. I certainly wouldn’t call her a real criminal, but I was glad that she was a part of the team. She made the team work together and her past gave us a warm feeling about love and life. In her stories, we get to see her past with her father.

Her real name is Cleo Cazo and she is the daughter and protégé of the original Ratcatcher. Naturally, she gives her own super original name … Ratcatcher 2. Her specialty is to control rats that follow her command.

Last but not least, the bond she creates with Bloodsport on the bus scene was one of the most satisfying moments of the film.

1. Bloodsport

Robert DuBois, also known as Bloodsport, is an assassin who was hired to kill Superman with a kryptonite bullet. He hit him, but of course, Superman survived. As a result, Robert Dubois was arrested and locked up in Belle Reve.

At first, he doesn’t seem to care about anyone, including his own daughter. However that all seems to be a facade due to his childhood with his own father. Amanda Waller probably knows this and forces him to join the Suicide Squad. Otherwise, she would lock his daughter up in a not very safe prison.

I was totally in love with his outfit, especially the helmet, which looks like a creature of the movie, Alien. His powers are similar to Peacemaker’s, where he can use anything as a weapon. Furthermore, he’s played by the A-class actor, Idris Elba, who I love to see on the big screen. Honestly, even if he plays in awful movies, his part is always enjoyable because he’s just that good.
