Entertain your week by watching an action movie every day. Planning a movie marathon where you watch movies of the same genre or franchise on the same day can be fun, but it can also feel like too much. So that’s why I spread them out to multiple days.
I suggest movies for you every day of the week. From Monday to Sunday! If there are any movies you’ve already seen or re-watched recently, then you can replace them with another movie!
In this list, there will be no superhero movies because they deserve their own list.
Monday: Die Hard
Let’s start with a classic with Bruce Willis as John McClane. And no, it doesn’t have to be Christmas to see this movie. During a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles, something unexpected happens. Suddenly, they are taken hostage by German terrorists. They too, will get something unexpected as N.Y.P.D. Agent John McClane happened to want to surprise his wife. Instead, he has to fight against the German terrorists.
Die Hard is one of those classics that I revisit from time to time.
Tuesday: Extraction
Extraction is a relatively recent movie and is available on Netflix. Sometimes we do need a newer movie, and that’s where Extraction comes in handy! If you did see this movie recently, replace it with another movie.
It follows the story of Tyler Rake, a fearless black market mercenary. One day he receives the most deadly Extraction of his career. Therefore, he must find a kidnapped son of an international crime lord who is in prison.
Wednesday: John Wick
If you ask me what my favorite action movie from 2010 is, I’ll immediately say John Wick. What a surprise that was! I remember my mouth dropping open at how well this movie was put together and that combined with innovative bad-ass action scenes. It’s a role that feels like it was made especially for Keanu Reeves.
The story is quite simple. Burglars kill his dog that he got from his late wife. What the burglars don’t know is that they are dealing with an ex-hired assassin. Now he comes out of retirement to find the one responsible for killing his dog and finish him off.
Thursday: The Raid
This is the only foreign film on the list, and for a good reason! The Raid is an Indonesian film and is not a movie you should skip. Sure, it might not be in English, but that shouldn’t matter. The action, however, is on an all other level and feels different from any other action flicks.
A S.W.A.T. team gets stuck in a tenement run by a ruthless gangster and his army of killers and thugs. Yet, the S.W.A.T. team finds itself in a difficult situation and trapped in a building where there appears to be no hope.
Friday: Nobody
The weekend has begun, and let’s set it off with Nobody. If you’re a “Breaking Bad” fan, or even better, a “Better Call Saul” fan, you will get a smile on your face. The movie stars Bob Odenkirk, who plays Saul in the legendary series Breaking Bad and now has his own show. However, we’ve never seen him in action before until now, and it’s surprisingly good.
The movie starts with a couple of burglars that Hutch Mansell didn’t fight against. You get the sense that he is a typical father figure who is nothing special. Then one day, he takes the bus, and a group of men is harassing a woman. And Hutch is fed up and intervenes with his fists.

Saturday: First Blood
I have to include “First Blood” in this list. If you haven’t seen it before, then it’s the perfect time to start with it. Many people who haven’t watched it believe it’s all about Rambo going to act, and in a certain way, it is. However, it’s also a psychological film where an ex-soldier has to fight his own trauma of the war.
John Rambo is a veteran who is forced by a brutal sheriff and his deputies to flee into the mountains and wage an escalating one-man war against his pursuers.
Sunday: Mad Max: Fury Road
Let’s finish the week of action films with a bang. It’s time for Max Max: Fury Road! It’s not only a great action film but also a visual masterpiece. A true delight for the eyes, and it has one of the best trailers ever made! There might not be that much story, however, the action sure makes up for it!
Mad Max is a sort of drifter in this story who is captured in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. When a woman, Furiosa, rebels against a tyrannical ruler, she gets help from our hero!
