Are you ready for a more light-hearted film and do you want to watch it while relaxing at home? Then check out a good comedy together with some friends or just solo.

I have compiled a list of 10 great films that will definitely make you and your friends laugh. Some are better known than others, but all are worth checking out. However, I do have to say that these are my personal preferences. In other words, it might not be for everyone as personal humor differs from person to person.

10. The 40-Year-Old-Virgin

The story is simple and is about Andy Stitzer (Steve Carell), a 40-year-old virgin who is pushed by his friend to lose his virginity. During this crusade, Andy meets many women, but one woman named Trish(Catherine Keener) catches his attention more than the others.

Steve Carrell Is comedy gold and he had proven this with the 40-Year-Old-Virgin. He demonstrates his tremendous talent for comedy. He has a style I hadn’t seen before and went on doing other movies and even tv-shows. In the 40-Year-Old-Virgin, you also got some other comedic icons like Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen. It’s a fun time guaranteed.

9. This is the End

Although “This is the end” doesn’t have the best storyline in film history, it is, in its own way, a very inventive film. The fact that every actor and actress play themselves makes the film quite original and refreshing. There is also the fact that the makers have taken an overused theme, the end of the world, and turned it completely to their liking.

However, you do have to be familiar with these actors. If you don’t care about these Hollywood celebrities, I’m sure you won’t like this movie.

8. Deadpool

From the ingenious opening credits to the end, Deadpool constantly turns the clichés and tropes you’ve come to expect in superhero movies in recent years on its head. What’s great here is that the filmmakers had something strange and perverse and just went with it. Jokes about pedophilia, movie references, and sex all run together. Yet it’s never really dark, despite the adult subject matter. Plus, it’s very refreshing to have a superhero break the fourth wall.

Deadpool showed that you could be successful with an R-rating, though. More studios took more risks with their age rating as a result.

7. The Hangover

This is the story of how three friends try to find the lost groom for his wedding after their crazy night in Las Vegas. The movie gets funny from the Las Vegas part until the end. There are hilarious things in every other scene.

They figure out how their epic night turned out or rather went out of control. Get ready to see the incredible experiences and then have fantastic cameos.

6. Step brothers

Step Brothers” is a comedy in the vein of “dumb and dumber,” with a couple of good comedic actors (Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly) portraying two losers who still live with their parents and lead irresponsible lives.

Reilly is the perfect antithesis, and he is fearless when it comes to committing to the role. But no one is better at playing the man-child than Will Ferrell. The non-stop punchlines combined with some physical humor are a treat for this twosome.

5. 22 Jump Street

First of all, big compliments to the lead actors. The chemistry between Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum is incredible. As soon as they are on screen, you immediately start smiling, just because you feel the need to prepare for something hilarious. The jokes are quick and relentless without being tiresome. More importantly, the comedy is genuinely clever, even during some of the scenarios that are dumbed down by a certain absurdity.

You may be wondering why I didn’t put the first film on this list, but I just like the second one better. This is mostly due to the hilarious scenes between Ice Cube and Jonah Hill. I have never laughed so hard than during those scenes.

4. Zoolander

Zoolander is a movie that people would laugh their asses off at, or turn it down and never finish it because it’s so stupid. Fortunately, as someone who loves absurd humor, I had a good time with it. Yes, it’s one of the dumbest movies you’ll ever see, but it’s meant to be dumb, a satire on superficial people and the world of male photo models.

Movie fans and celebrity geeks will enjoy all the cameos in this film, along with the wild outfits – male and female – and all the goofy looks on the faces, especially Stiller’s poses. In between all the silliness, there is some clever satire on various topics related to the fashion world. Just know what you’re getting into, and you’ll be able to laugh enough to make it an entertaining hour and a half.

3. Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Well, if you want original humor, that is, something different from what you normally see. Then this is the ideal movie! The above statement was true 34 years ago, and is still true. It’s just silly, far-fetched humor.

It’s not all winners, no comedy is, but there are enough of them, and enough classic bizarre scenes that it’s always a hoot to rewatch this movie from time to time. On top of all, the insults are golden in Monthy Pythons.

It’s actually one ridiculous scene after another. I mean, where else do you see a knight fighting on after his legs are chopped off, and then his arms!!! Or a killer rabbit?

2. Tropic Thunder

Tropic Thunder is one of those movies that you will quote with your friends for the rest of your life! Tropic Thunder is a great satire that I honestly didn’t know if I was going to like effectively.

The story was actually perfect for making fun of action movies and Hollywood. The situational comedy was genius as these actors were forced to survive a war-like setting. The action scenes themselves resembled real action movies and were nicely done. They added the action with the hilarity, and it all worked perfectly.

But remember! Never go full retard!

1. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Anchorman tells a simple story: acclaimed (and therefore arrogant) news anchor Ron Burgundy is forced to adjust when an attractive new female member of the Channel 4 news team (Applegate) begins to change the way he and his quirky news team work. It is.

This story is predictable and boring but Anchorman doesn’t get its strength from the story. It gets its power from hilarious situations. In addition, it gets its power from randomness. It gets its power from brief but memorable cameos. It gets its power from those 100 unforgettable one-liners.

It’s so funny that it’s even my number one comedy movie of all time!
