M. Night Shyamalan is an Indian-American writer and film director and also made some appearances in his own films. He is best known as the director of the films The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs and The Village.
Now to answer the question: Is M. Night Shyamalan in all his Movies?
Well, the short answer is “no, but he does in most movies.” However, I’m not going to leave it by that because I probably know your next question which is “in which movie did he made an appearance?” Now, I will also give an answer on that one by listing every movie down below and tell you if he was in it or not. In addition, I will include which role he played.
The films listed are only movies he directed. So films like Stuart Little where he co-writed the script won’t be included.
Praying with Anger (1992)
Praying with Anger is the first film by M. Night Shyamalan and was released in 1992. The film tells the story of a boy named Dev Raman who travels to India to discover his “roots” there. The film was independently produced and financed by Shyamalan’s parents. The film was screened at a number of film festivals, including Toronto’s.

Wide Awake (1998)
Wide Awake is Shyamalan’s first major film. It is a family film for which M. Night wrote the screenplay. He sold the screenplay to the then fledgling studio Miramax who gave Shyamalan a budget to produce the film. The film is about Josh who, after the death of his grandfather, goes looking for God to ask if his grandfather is okay. Wide Awake was produced in 1995, but not released until 1998. The film’s revenues were only $1,288,000, against production costs of $6,000,000.

Also in 1999 came Shyamalan’s first commercial success with The Sixth Sense. This supernatural thriller is about child psychiatrist Dr. Malcome Crowe (Bruce Willis), who blames himself for a patient suicide and his disintegrating marriage. He comes into contact with Cole (Haley Joel Osment) who suffers from a form of schizophrenia. He claims to see ghosts. Malcome thinks he can free himself of his guilt if he helps Cole with his problem. The film brought in more than $600 million worldwide.

Unbreakable (2000)
In 2000, M. Night Shyamalan came out with the superhero film Unbreakable. This story revolves around David Dunn (Bruce Willis) who is the only one to survive a bizarre train accident. Moreover, he has no injuries whatsoever. After this train accident, David comes into contact with comic book dealer Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson) who tries to convince David that he is more than just a human being. He asks him if he is a superhero. Whether he is “Unbreakable.
The element of comic books recurs frequently in the film, but the film is one of the few superhero films not based on a comic book.

Signs (2002)
Signs is M. Nights science fiction thriller from 2002. It tells the story of ex-priest and widower Graham Hess (Mel Gibson) who, together with his brother, must protect his children from an invasion by aliens. During this struggle, he struggles with his faith in God. Signs is the second highest earning film for M. Night, with over $400 million worldwide.

The Village (2004)
In 2004, M. Night Shyamalan came out with The Village. The film is about a 19th century village that has a file with strange creatures in the woods. The creatures (called “Those We Don’t Speak Of”) don’t come into the village’s valley and the villagers don’t come into the creatures’ woods. The truce is broken and the village is increasingly threatened by the creatures.
The Village has been misconstrued by many people and as a result is often watched by the wrong audience or with the wrong intention. The film was promoted as a horror film, but M. Night himself has admitted that The Village is not a horror. It is more of a romantic drama with horror elements, rather than the other way around. The poor promotion made for a successful opening weekend, but after that, the film’s revenues were low.

Lady in The Water (2006)
It all started as a bedtime story for M. Night’s children, but it ended up being a feature film. Lady in the Water is a fairy tale about a nymph. A nymph is a sea creature similar to humans. The creatures in the water inspire people to do something world-changing and only eye contact is enough. Cleveland Heep (Paul Giamatti) is the janitor of an apartment complex when he encounters a nymph in the pool at night. Story (Bryce Dallas Howard) is looking for a young writer. Slowly, the residents of the apartment complex begin to take their place in the fairy tale, only it doesn’t work out well. There are creatures in the garden who are trying to kill the nymph.

The Happening (2008)
After Lady in the Water, word leaked out that M. Night Shyamalan was in the process of selling a new screenplay called The Green Effect. A large number of studios had reportedly already rejected the screenplay. Shyamalan reportedly adapted the screenplay and eventually sold it to 20th Century Fox as The Happening. The film was released in 2008 and is about a bizarre poison gas spreading across America that drives people to suicide.

The Last Airbender (2010)
On January 8, 2007, it was announced that M. Night Shyamalan would be working on a feature film based on Avatar: The Last Airbender, a popular Nickelodeon animated series. Production on the film would begin after The Happening was released.
The Last Airbender is a fantasy film set in a world where four peoples live, with an element central to each. These are the elements: Earth, Water, Air and Fire. Each people can control this element. Only one person can control all four elements: the Avatar. He is the one who keeps the world in balance. When he dies, he reincarnates with the next tribe. Until one day the fire nation starts a war and the Avatar disappears.
The moment the movie starts, Katara and her brother Sokka find the new Avatar in an iceberg, named Aang. Aang has been trapped in the iceberg for a hundred years and now, along with Katara and Sokka, must find a way to defeat the Fire Nation and free the world from war.
The Last Airbender focuses only on the first season of the animated series.

After Earth (2013)
In late October 2010, it was announced what M. Night’s next project will be. A science fiction called 10,000 A.E. The screenplay was written by Gary Whitta (The Book Of Eli). The lead roles were played by Jaden Smith and his father Will. The film was released on June 7, 2013.
The film is about a boy and his father who crash into an uninhabited planet in the distant future. The planet eventually turns out to be Earth. The name 10,000 A.E. was dropped, and the name of the final film became After Earth.

The Visit is a 2015 American mystery-thriller. A brother and sister are sent to their grandparents’ remote farm in Pennsylvania for a week. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something very disturbing, they see their chances of ever returning home dwindle by the day.

Split (2016)
The film premiered on September 26 at the Austin Fantastic Fest.
Kevin (James McAvoy) has 23 personalities discovered by his psychiatrist Dr. Fletcher. A 24th personality has developed and is about to take over all the others. One day Kevin kidnaps three girls. Not only the girls, but also the other 23 personalities have to fight a battle with Kevin’s new personality to survive.
This film also connected to the Unbreakable movie.

Glass (2019)
Glass premiered on January 12, 2019 and achieved worldwide revenues of approximately US$87 million in its opening weekend of January 18. The film received mostly negative reviews from the film critic.
It was also the sequel to Split which came out 3 years prior.
David Dunn, along with his son, goes in search of a serial killer and kidnapper of some cheerleaders. When he finds the perpetrator Kevin Wendell Crumb, a fight ensues after which they are both arrested. They are locked up in an institution where Elijah Price is also located. Psychologist Ellie Staple treats all three to help them get rid of what she sees as delusions of grandeur
