Disney+ has made numerous announcements a few days ago and is already causing many discussions around the globe. It’s the topic of the week, and I can’t wait for their titles to be released.

There are really many titles, more than I expected. Not only are there a lot of Marvel series and movies coming out, but also from Star Wars. However, I will write another post about that.

This time I will also include TV shows in my post.

Now without further a due, let’s start!

Wandavision

The first series that will be released is Wandavision. Of course, we already knew this, but the last trailer shows a bit more story than the previous one. It gives us more information on what it is all about. Although I still have no idea what is happening.

I’m looking forward to it, although I’m a little confused about what they’re going for. It will be something new within the Marvel Universe.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness is one of my most anticipated films. It will change the MCU forever. Cast members such as Chiwetel Eijofor, Benedict Wong and Rachel McAdams return as their characters.

The biggest news was the addition of Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez. Another Young Avenger for Phase 4! A superhero I don’t know myself but have heard that she has a usual set of powers in addition to interdimensional travel. So an ideal complement for a movie like Doctor Strange.

Spider-man 3

There was no Spider-Man 3 news from Marvel, as that film is owned by Sony (despite the Disney studio production), but Feige did confirm that Doctor Strange 2 connects to Jon Watts’ threequel. This confirms the reports about the role of Benedict Cumberbatch in the film and supports the high speculation and hopes that this is going to be a live-action Spider-Verse.

Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx are suprsingly back as Doctor Octopus and Electro from Raimi’s trilogy from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, while Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Kirsten Dunst are all connected.

This is my most anticipated movie of them all. I just can’t comprehend what is actually happening. Is this really for real? Do I even deserve this film? I’m so excited!

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier

We finally have a trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Solider. In March, the TV series will be released featuring Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes’ bickering chemistry, Daniel Bruhl’s return as Zemo and the introduction of new villain Flag-Smasher.

I’m actually curious about the chemistry between these two avengers. Somehow I’m not 100% sold. Don’t get me wrong. I’m still looking forward to it. Still, I feel the absence of Captain America himself. Hopefully, I won’t get this feeling during the show. Still, I’m sure the quality will be great.

Black Widow

Of course, this film had to be released six months ago. Unfortunately, Covid-19 thought otherwise. Marvel didn’t bring a lot of new Black Widow news, which is normal. However, the conversation again confirmed that the film will only be released in May 2021.

I’m going to be so happy when the movie finally comes out because I have been waiting for the first trailer.

Scarlett Johansson is kicking ass in the new “Black Widow” – Official teaser trailer

Loki

Apparently, an alternative timeline was created in the last Avengers movie. In May 2021, Loki’s TV show will be released at Disney+. Loki will be recruited by the time-traveling TVA. It will also be a new genre. Namely, it will be a crime thriller. The “exclusive clip” shows new cast members like Owen Wilson and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

The trailer did hype me up. In addition, the plane scene makes me wonder if it is connected to another TV show or movie.

What If…?

Marvel’s What If…? is an animated show exploring alternative versions of classic MCU events, seen through the eyes of Uatu The Watcher.

The new Marvel trailer gave a more substantial look at the unique art style and many different stories: Peggy as Captain Britain instead of Steve; Bucky who fights a Zombie Cap; Doctor Strange fights an evil form of himself; T’Challa is Star-Lord. Also, I’m wondering if Doctor Strange is the cause of all these alternative realities?

I like alternative stories. In Comic books, this formula is often used to tell new stories, which is ridiculously good. So how great is it that they make an animation series about this? I’m all in!

Shang-Chi and The Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings finally wrapped up the footage after a production that was severely affected by the pandemic, which brings some details to the cast of the film. Although many were announced, their character names were not known: Tony Leung is Wenwu (the real Mandarin), Michelle Yeoh is Jiang Nan, Awkwafina is Katy, Meng’er Zhang is Xialing, Fala Chen is Jiang Li, Ronny Chieng is Jon Jon, and Florian Munteanu is villain Razor Fist.

Frankly, I do not know this hero at all. These names don’t mean anything to me, but so did Guardians of the Galaxy. I’m always open to new superheroes that I don’t know myself. So hopefully it will surprise me.

Ms. Marvel

Marvel confirmed that Iman Vellani plays Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, the Pakistani teen hero inspired by Carol Danvers. An online search was held for this, and I’m happy that this is going to someone who isn’t so well known yet. Or at least, I don’t know her anyway. Belgian directors, Adil and Bilal also direct this. One more reason for me to watch this series.

Captain Marvel 2

Nia DaCosta’s Captain Marvel 2 brings Brie Larson back as Carol Danvers, as previously reported, but she will not be alone. As expected, Marvel and Teyonah Parris will be part of the sci-fi story as the adult Monica Rambeau (making her debut in WandaVision). The release date has also been changed, pushed back from summer 2021 to November.

I’m waiting for a trailer before I’m full-on excited. I thought the first Captain Marvel was okay, and that’s why I’m not immediately sold. However, I’m a fan of expanding the universe with the introduction of other characters.

Hawkeye

It is the worst secret of Marvel: Hailee Steinfeld is Kate Bishop in the Hawkeye show. Her talks with Marvel were wide-ranging, and the set of photos let the Pizza Dog out of the bag. But Feige also confirmed Vera Farmiga as Kate’s mother, Fra Free as Kazi, and Alaqua Cox as Echo, directing Rhys Thomas and Bert & Bertie.

Don’t ask me why, but Hawkeye is the tv show I’m most excited about that. Partly because I believe Jeremy Renner is the most capable of taking the lead role on his shoulder. That’s also because the others mostly side kicks, while Hawkeye was just a hero that never got his own movie.

She-Hulk

Marvel confirmed Tatiana Maslany’s casting as Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, but the big news was that the legal drama would bring back Mark Ruffalo. Of course, he’s going to be Walter’s cousin Bruce Banner. What was the biggest suprise is that Tim Roth is back as Abomination. He was last seen all the way back in 2008’s movie, The Incredible Hulk. Other Marvel Characters are teased by Kevin Feige of appearing in the show: given the legal setting, it feels like a pointed nod to Daredevil, who was recently rumored to be represented by Charlie Cox in Spider-Man 3. #SaveDarevil

I’m curious about her origin story because I don’t really know how she came to be. I know she exists, but that’s all.

Moon Knight

It is a bit more anti-news, but it was noteworthy that despite the acclaimed reports that Oscar Isaac will play Marc Spector, wasn’t confirmed by Kevin Feige. I keep my fingers crossed that it will be him.

Secret Invasion

In Captain Marvel, we got an introduction of the Skrulls. Fans have been waiting for Secret Invasion, whichn is a comic story in which the alien shapeshifters infiltrate the earth. This is finally happening at Disney+ with a television series called Secret Invasion, featuring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and in addtion Ben Mendelson as Talos. Although the plot details are light, Feige suggested that it was villainy by Skrulls, which makes sense given that they were heroes in the end in Captain Marvel.

The show was further set up by Spider-Man: Far From Home’s post-credits scene. I’m not acquainted with the comic book, but if many fans are excited about it. Then I guess it’s really worth seeing it!

Iron Heart

Ironheart will follow teenage Riri Williams as she becomes the heir to Tony Stark’s armored crown. We already know that Dominique Thorne has already been cast as Riri, who was only introduced to Marvel Comics in 2015.

I have no knowledge of her, so I’ll wait and see what this will bring us.

Armor Wars

The other Iron Man series is Armor Wars, starring Don Cheadle as James Rhodes, aka War Machine. Feige’s description is that he is investigating “what happens when his technology falls into the wrong hands”, which can be said of many MCU stories. It’s a bit like the technology of his sunglasses in Spider-Man Far from Home. Well, except it’s more about the armor and not just sunglasses.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special

We get our first MCU holiday special! The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will be directed by James Gunn for Disney+ during the filming of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and will be released in the winter of 2022 for the threequel.

Personally, this is the perfect film group to make a holiday special of.

Guardians Of The Galaxy 3

After repeated delays due to the unjustified shelling of James Gunn and the pandemic, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 finally has a release screen. The film is set for release in 2023. That will be six years after Vol. 2 in 2017.

Still, I’m glad that James Gunn is responsible for this film again. I really do have faith in him, and even for the DC movie, Suicide Squad.

I am Groot

Another Guardians Disney+ release, this time a series of shorts, I Am Groot looks back at Vol. 2’s Baby Groot and will see him in a series of setbacks. Who doesn’t love the cute little Groot tree?

Thor: Love & Thunder

Former Batman Christian Bale will join the MCU in Thor: Love & Thunder, and it is now confirmed that he plays villain Gorr the God Butcher. The film is already packed, with Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder and the Guardians of the Galaxy, Valkyrie and Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor, but if Taika Waitti stays close to the comics, Gorr will still be a big challenge.

I’m really curious to see Christian Bale as a villain. It’s something I’ve never pictured in a comic book movie.

Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania

Ant-Man 3 gets bigger, with a new title that promises even more Quantum Realm action: Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer all return, along with Kathryn Newton as rearranged Cassie Lang (the third actor to play the role) who is likely to become Stature. They fight the multiverse-hopping villain Kang the Conquer, played by Jonathan Majors.

Honestly, I love Paul Rudd in these films. He’s so hilarious and likable. I’m all forth!

Black Panther II

After the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman in August, Marvel will not be recast the Black Panther for the follow-up development. Ryan Coogler is now working on the script for Black Panther 2, which Feige said will explore Wakanda’s world so beautifully as in the first film. The film is still set for release in 2022, although it has been pushed back three months from May to July.

It still makes me wonder what approach they will take. Who is taking over the Black Panther title?

R.I.P. Chadwick Boseman

Fantastic Four

Marvel now owns all his characters’ rights after Disney bought Fox, and she announced the first movie using those properties: Fantastic Four. Marvel’s First Family comes to the MCU in a film by director Jon Watts, who made all three of Tom Holland Spider-Man’s entries.

Blade

Little news was dropped about Blade except that Mahershala Ali plays him. However, I’m still excited about this project.
