The Turtles are back!
The first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a classic, and the second starts greatly with an introduction to a new character (Keno). The opening scene also had awesome pizza scenes. Combined that with a piece of great opening music, and it’s perfect for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
However, I have to admit that the first one was way better. It was darker and, in general, a better movie. The second one was more corny and childish but still entertaining.
April O’Neil is also in this film but is played by someone else, Paige Turco. She is okay but honestly isn’t that important in this movie, which is a bummer. In the first movie, there was more to tell about her. Now, she’s kind of there.
The secret of Ooze
We learn more about the creation of the Turtles.
This time Shredder aims to steal the canister of Ooze that mutated our heroes. He does that, only to make his own monsters and army to avenge his defeat. They should have gone with another villain thou. I mean, he just got defeated and is already back.
If you thought Rocksteady and Bebop were stupid, then you will be shocked with Tokka and Rahzar. They are even worse and were the result of the Ooze. A new experiment from the Shredder, however, they’re really dumb but very strong. I wished they went for Rocksteady and Bebop as I never understood why they didn’t.

Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go!
There is a lot of corny stuff in the sequel. Sometimes even a bit too much. In the first one, there was much more darkness, but also a good mixture of both elements. It had heart!
The second one is all the way cheesy and a different movie. At his core, it’s still a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, which makes it hard to hate. It’s a fun watch.
However, I loved the Ninja Turtle Rap. I know it’s very corny, but it has a great beat to it. On top of that, they were dancing to it. Go Ninja, go! And, they even got Vanilla Ice for that one!
When they’re fighting against there enemy, it’s like they’re having way too much fun with it. And by that, I mean they’re doing pranks while fighting, especially in the opening scene.
Oh, and the Shredder even becomes super Shredder. And, if you think you will get an awesome scene, well, you don’t. The fight ends very quickly. With that said, the battles in the first movie were superior. Especially the last fight. Honestly, the Shredder was a joke in the Secret of Ooze.
Conclusion
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Secret of Ooze is a fun sequel. However, it’s a different movie compared to its predecessor. This time they go for pure fun.
