Everybody has some Guilty Pleasure Movies! And, that’s okay to have as we’re all weird in our own ways.
I’ve seen most of these films when I was a kid, and that’s also the reason why I enjoyed most of them. It creates some nostalgia and brings back some childhood memories. And I bet everyone has at least one of those movies.
If you don’t know what a guilty pleasure movie is, it’s a movie that wasn’t praised by the critics. In other words, it was considered to be a bad movie. However, it can be a terrible film but still highly enjoyable for some folks.
Here are my Guilty Pleasure Movies

Batman and Robin
Yes, believe it or not, but Batman and Robin is one of my guilty pleasure movies. I even had it on VHR back in the days.
Before you shoot me off, this movie was targeted at kids. Back then, I still was a kid, so it was highly enjoyable for me. On the other hand, now I watch it as a comedy. I would categorize this film as “so bad that it’s good” kind of movie. And the puns are hilarious!

Waterworld 1995
This film received some bad reviews from the critics. I consider this film to be like the old mad max films but with water.
It was chaotic, exciting, and fun at the same time.

Amazing Spiderman 2
I didn’t hate the Amazing Spiderman 2. As a matter of fact, I truly enjoyed it despite its problems. I thought Andrew Garfield as Spiderman was great and felt like Spiderman.
Also, I loved the Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy relationship. That was one of the best on-screen romances in comic book movies.
Unfortunately, his franchise got canceled. On the other hand, Spiderman is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so I can’t complain.

White Chicks
The critics may be harsh on this movie, but everyone I know loves White Chicks. The Wayans brothers were hilarious, and there were so many memorable scenes.
Terry Cruz, his scene in the car, will forever be a classic. Did you know that Marlon Wayans was cast as the side-kick Robin for Tim Burton’s Batman movies?

Star Wars the prequels
Most people hate the Star Wars prequels, except for my generation. I understand why people would hate them, as they weren’t great at all. However, I was blown away when I watched the light-saber fights as a kid and a teenager.
Especially the third one, that is my favorite one of all the prequels. It was packed with a lot of cool action, and I must have seen the last fight a thousand times.

Jim Carrey’s movies
There are too many movies, to sum up: Dumb and dumber, Bruce Almighty, Yes Man and Liar liar are on top of my mind.
Not everyone is a fan of his acting style. Like we all know, he can be over the top, but that’s what I love about him. He’s one of the few guys who make me laugh by being that way.
The same thing goes for all of his movies. For me, they’re all a blast to watch.

Space Jam
It’s been a while since I’ve seen Space Jam, and I’m still waiting on a new one! I’m not a huge basketball fan, but that film made me play some basketball. Well, not in a team, but just with friends outside.
We all wanted to become Michael Jordan back then. He was a legend to adults and kids! Who would have thought that Warner Bros would mix the best player in the world with the Looney Tunes? That was an awesome idea that gave me some good childhood memories.

Godzilla 1998
I was always excited when they were showing this film on television. And believe me, in Belgium they did it a couple of times.
Every time it got on, I was behind the tv watching it with full excitement. And, I was just waiting to see the monster pop out of the water.
