Knock Knock has A simple plot
The story is pretty predictable and straightforward.
Evan let two girls in his house to help them out. Once they’re in, the girls Lorenza Izzo and Ana de Armas try to seduce Evan.
At first, he avoids it at all costs, but the two strangers don’t give up that easily. It even gets to a point where they force him into doing it, and it can almost be considered to be a rape. The only reason it isn’t one is that he gave in his desires.
Afterward, its all hell for Keanu Reeves’s character as they want to punish him for being a cheater.
Keanu Reeves was cringy
I’m a fan of Keanu Reeves as an actor and as a real human. It’s also the reason why I wanted to see this movie.
But, the acting felt really awkward in “Knock knock.” The family moments with his wife and kids were forced. I just did not buy it.
Keanu Reeves is a kind man with an innocent vibe to him, and they did use that personality. But weirdly enough, something still felt off. He has been labeled emotionless in a lot of his roles, and this one didn’t seem to be different.
Maybe it’s to his monotone voice or the deadness behind his eyes.
Do not get me wrongs, I’m not dissing on the man. This one is just one of his poorly acted movies, I’m still looking forward to the John Wick movies.
Another reason why Knock Knock is bad
As mentioned before, the premise is simple. It’s a typical invasion torture horror flick but mixed with the element of sex and two hot young women.
Besides that, it does not offer anything special anymore. Nothing new or insightful.
I even thought the two girls were annoying as hell. I don’t dislike the actresses, but the role they had to play. It also made me hesitate to shut down the tv and go to bed.
Conclusion
Don’t waste your time on Knock Knock with Keanu Reeves. If you wanted to check it out for Keanu Reeves, don’t. Just pick another movie with him like John Wick, Point Break, or the Matrix.
