Movie Plot – Elf: At the North Pole, where elves live with Santa, a man named Buddy (Will Ferell) discovered he is a human and not an elf. Since he was a kid, he believed to be an elf. After his discovery, he decided to go to New York to find his real father.

Director: Jon Favreau
Writer: David Berenbaum
Cast: Will Ferrell, James Caan, Bob Newhart, Zooey Deschanel

Buddy, the innocent Man Elf played by Will Ferrel

Will Ferrel is so naive as Buddy. On top of that, he has a childly-approach on his perspective of life and Christmas. Above that, he believes to be an elf. Everything is fun and glamorous, he has no idea how the real world functions.

In New York, Buddy is on a quest to find his father (played by James Caan) and eventually finds him. James Caan is, in reality, a grumpy old dad who is consumed by his work life. But Buddy is there to cheer him up and brings that Christmas spirit back.

The simplicity of buddy’s mind is so cheerful and heartwarming. All he tries to do are nice things. It reminds me of the little things in life that matters. There was one funny scene where he bought a present for his dad because he read a sign “for that special someone.” It was hilarious, but at the same time, it was sweet and kind.

Conclusion: Christmas Spirit

Elf starring Will Ferrel is all about the Christmas Spirit. It is for us to remember how special Christmas can be. This holy day has always been about bringing people together, and this movie adorably brings this.

It is an enjoyable Christmas movie to watch with the family. The film is funny and sweet from beginning to end. That is why I loved this movie.
